He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Thommes and Dorothy Thommes (Lang); and his wife Bonnie Thommes. He is survived by: his children, Gerald Thommes (Billie Jo) of Owatonna, Jeffrey Thommes (Staci) of Clear Lake, WI and Lori Colaw (Scott) of Lonsdale; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Thommes, Alissa Thompson (Rhett), Rylan Thommes, Zachary Colaw (Jessica) and Blaine Colaw (Amy); his great grandchild Grayson Colaw; and his brother James Thommes of Cottage Grove.
Memorials are preferred to the Steele County Humane Society.
