It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Michael Matejcek of Owatonna, Minnesota, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Matejcek RememberedRobert Michael "Bob" (Matejcek) and Mary Matejcek (Spinler); and his siblings, Joseph and Cecelia. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Douglas (Tammy), Daniel (Brenda Lee), Paula Kath, David (Romell), Joshua (Amy), Kristin Minnick (Daniel), Justin and James; and his siblings, Mary Alice Renchin, Virginia Hanson (John), Leonard (Mary Lou), Bernadette Jensen (Curt) and Raymond (Jean). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Brick - Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd, Owatonna, MN 55060). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (512 S Elm Ave, Owatonna, MN 55060).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Mary's School.
