He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Tobin and Joy Tobin (Johnson); and his grandson Isaac Tobin. He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Hawkinson; his wife Sandi Tobin; his children, Carolyn Hall (Gerald Hall) of Plainfield, IL and Nathan Tobin (Stephani Tobin) of Mason City, IA; and his grandchildren, Jordyn Hanson (Jake Hanson) and Sydney Tobin of Rochester, MN..

Michael was also a member of the local Parkinson's Support group and a dedicated member of Punch Parkinson's boxing class at Owatonna Fitness.
