Matthias James Meester Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Matthias James Meester (Owatonna, Minnesota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 9, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, John, Marge Marquard, Ernest, Louise Midthun, James, Anna Meester, Warren and Eva Byerly.
He is survived by: his parents, Chris Meester and Laurel Meester (Midthun) of Owatonna; his sister Eliora; his grandparents, Eric, Sue Midthun of Bloomington, MN, Rod and Julie Meester of Mason City, IA; his aunts and uncles, Peter Midthun (Sherri Goings), Joe Midthun (Kelsey), Julia Gerlofs (Jordan), Sasha Mackin, Scott Meester (Alyssa) and Evan Meester (Kamryn Kronschnabel); and his cousins, William, Elaina, Adrian, Alice, Heidi, Samuel and Dorian.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (609 Lincoln Ave S, Owatonna, MN 55060). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
