He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Zacharias and Loretta Zacharias (Abbe); and his brother-in-law Dennis Bucek. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Bucek; his children, Sue Tuma (Tom) and Doug Zacharias (Ann); his grandsons, Dylan, Ryan Tuma, Zane and Cole Zacharias; his siblings, Lorraine Clayton (Jim) of Alexandria, MN and Beverly Stofferahn (Harold) of Chaska, MN; his close friends, Reid and Daria Stransky; and his sons, Joseph, Zach, Jerome and Darian. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
