She is survived by: her children, Thomas Karaus (Debra) of Owatonna and Mary Martinez (Adrian) of Sonoma, CA; her son-in-law Neal Rietz of Placida, FL; and her grandchildren, Dr. Heather Rietz of Nashville, TN, Jason Rietz of Denver, CO, Joshua Karaus (Jacque) and Katie Karaus Scott (Matt) of Farmington, MN.
Marie lived through the Spanish Flu of 1917, Scarlet Fever in the 1920's, Smallpox in 1924, Polio in 1950, and lastly Covid 19.
