She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Helms and Katherine Helms (Enzenauer); her husband Martin Ahrens; her daughter Karla Ihrke; her sons-in-law, Tim Ihrke and James Hedeen; her granddaughter Heather Ahrens; and her sisters, Lucille Beese and Dorothy O'Neil.
She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Hedeen, Brad Ahrens (Sherry), Brian Ahrens (Lisa), Randy Ahrens (Becky) and Marshall Ahrens (Patty); and her grandchildren, Holly Mudgett (Joe), Casey Hedeen (Kristi Vosejpk), Corey Ihrke (Sara), Chris Ihrke (Sara), Cam Ihrke (Darcy), Travis Ahrens (Sam), Nolan Ahrens (Missy), Amber Dobberstein (Mark), Nate Ahrens (Molly), Nathan Oberle (Rhonda), Kaylea Scott (Zach) and Zach Ahrens. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (4532 SE 84th Ave, Claremont, MN 55924).
