He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Kunkel and Ethel Kunkel (Schultz); his brother Robert Kunkel; and his brother-in-law Roy Collette. He is survived by: his wife Marla Kunkel of Owatonna; his sons, Chay Kunkel (Roberta) of Duluth and Paul Kunkel of Jordan; his grandchildren, Noah and Kali Kunkel; his stepgranddaughter Kaija; and his sister Beverly Collette of Boise, ID..
