He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob "Jake" Thomas and Olga Brekke (Bathel); his stepbrother Gerald "Gary" Brekke; his brothers-in-law, Gene Meschke and David Spinler; and his niece Katie Brekke.
He is survived by: his wife Patti Abraham; his stepsisters, JoAnn Maas of Valley Center, CA and Yvonne Spinler of Austin, MN; and his siblings, Patricia Meschke of Morristown, MN, Brenda Ellis (Jack) of Morristown, MN, Charlene Thompson of Albert Lea, MN, Keith Brekke (Diane) of North Mankato, MN, Arlen Brekke (Coleen) of Ellendale, MN and Kevan Brekke of Burnsville, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
