Kathleen Mary Gunderson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Mary Gunderson of Owatonna, Minnesota, who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Patten and Anna Patten (Carlson); her sister Marjorie Patten; and her grandson Frederick Hein. She is survived by: her husband James Gunderson of Owatonna; her children, Todd Horak (Christine) of Colorado Springs, CO, Brenda Reiland (Bruce) of Minnesota City, MN, Robert Horak of Fort Myers, FL, Pamela Williams (Jacob) of Owatonna and Rebecca Moore (Willie, Jr.) of Owatonna; her grandchildren, Stephanie Cash, Kari Krieger (Jeff), Jessica Byram (Aaron), TJ Horak, Aaron Gleason, Lisa Flatten (Eric), Katelyn Wimer (Matthew), Jacob Sylvara, Audrey Williams, Claire Williams, Jasmine Keith (Alex), Jadyn Gunderson, Janessa Moore, Willie Moore III and Jayna Moore; her siblings, Alden "Bud" Patten of Waseca and Lois Danks of Waltham; and her siblings-in-law, Anne Gunderson and Paul Dunlap of Florida. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church (265 26th St NE, Owatonna, MN 55060).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Kathy can be sent to the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester, MN or the Lymphoma Foundation of America.
