He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Cupkie and Teresa Cupkie (Seykora); and his brother-in-law Lawrence 'Kit Kitilson. He is survived by: his wife Pat (Sticha); his sister Patricia Kitilson; and his children, Wade Cupkie (Rhiannon), Mayme Robinson (Gabe), John Sticha (Martine) and Andrew Sticha.

The family suggests memorials and donations be made to the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
