He is survived by: his wife Colleen Gainey (Putsy); his children, Benjamin Hougas (Katie) of Annandale, MN and Elizabeth "Bizzie" Hougas of Stewartville; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Isaac and Camden Hougas; and his siblings, Catherine Lane-Whitfield, Mary Borgstahl (Gary), Michael Hougas (Susan), Alice Weiberg (Eric), Cynthia Sebold (Dave), Nancy Paulsen, Tamera McLean and Daniel Hougas (Susan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
