She is survived by: her parents, Herbert Kniefel and Lorraine Kniefel (Skalisky); her brothers, James Kniefel (Lanette) of Medford, MN and John Kniefel (Patricia) of Maple Grove, MN; her nephew Keith Kniefel (Amber); and her nieces, Pamela Heinz (Jesse), Melanie Trautman (Chris) and Molly McSherry (Elliot). She is also survived by nine great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to Freshwater, The Nature Conservancy, and Augsburg University.
