Gerald Deetz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Deetz (Owatonna, Minnesota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Deetz and Goldyne Deetz; and his brother James Deetz. He is survived by: his wife Carol Weiss; his sons, Steve Deetz (Julia) and Tom Deetz (Anne); and his grandchildren, Robert, Donais, Louisa, Zachery and Matthew. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (810 S Cedar Ave, Owatonna, MN 55060).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Owatonna Foundation or Sacred Heart Church in Owatonna.
