He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Johnson and Clara Johnson; his grandparents, Nels, Martha and Havana; and his sister Donna Christensen.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Johnson (Oleson) of Owatonna; his sons, Dale Johnson (Karen) and Jay Johnson (Wendy); his grandchildren, Daniel Johnson (Candace), Michael Johnson (Lauren), Ryan Johnson (Alysa), Danielle Apold (Tucker) and Jake Buswell; his great grandchildren, Noah, Caleb, Lily, William, Eli, Clair and Conor; his sister Sandra Wilker; his half-siblings, Tim and Dixie; and his brother-in-law Jerry Christensen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to the Aurora Lutheran Church.
