With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernestine F. Rand of Owatonna, Minnesota, born in Garner, Iowa, who passed away on February 5, 2024 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ernestine F. Rand to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Jante and Clara Jante (Chase); her husband Earl Rand; her son Jon Louis Rand; and her brother Robert Jante.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Rand (Bruce Binger) of Stillwater, Ernestine "Stormy" Trom (Gary) of Blooming Prairie, Lajean Yannarelli (Deno) of Owatonna and Earl Harvey Rand of Rochester; and her caregiver Monica Castro. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to Ecumen Hospice, 718 Mound Avenue, Mankato, MN 56001 and to the Mayo Clinic.
