It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Hammel of Owatonna, Minnesota, born in Troy, Kansas, who passed away on May 9, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Jensen and Jane Jensen (Brynildson); her husband Charles "Chuck" Hammel; her son-in-law Mark Fillnow; her siblings, James Jensen, Jeanne Kniefel, Marjorie Peterson and Jon Jensen; and her close friend Dale Hursh.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Fillnow of Owatonna and Tracy Kaufman of Owatonna; her grandsons, Brandon, Michael and Alex; her great grandchildren, Alexander, Evelyn, Joey, Lilly and Mabel; and her sisters-in-law, Chris Jensen and Phyllis Jensen. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.
