He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Urch and Joy Urch (Osborn); and his grandson Joshua Turnlund. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Urch of Owatonna; his children, David Urch of Owatonna, Julie Turnlund (Tim) of Owatonna and Dan Urch (Candy) of Owatonna; his grandchildren, Michael Urch, Nicole Urch, Karl Turnlund, Jessica Turnlund, Rogers and JB Rogers; and his siblings, Mary Lou Hanson (Glenn) of West Concord and John Urch (Kathy) of Viroqua, WI..
He is a founding member of the Minnesota State Fair Foundation, The American Legion Post 77, Steele County and West Concord Historical Societies, the Bird Shippers of America, numerous poultry clubs and Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna.
