She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Velzke and Serena Velzke (Meyer); her husband Harvey Schmidtke; her daughter Cindy Rogness; her grandson Donald; and her siblings, Donald Velzke, Shirley Blaker and Dalene Schlobohm.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Schmidtke (Christene), Dianne Rain and LouAnn Dierkhising (Paul); her son-in-law Scott Rogness; her grandchildren, Duane, Karen, Kari, Krista, Grant and Laynie; and her siblings, Lois Velzke and Delmer Velzke. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
