He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Friesen and Mildred Friesen (Bultman); his wife Sharon Friesen; and his brother Richard Friesen. He is survived by: his children, Mike Friesen (Janet) of Owatonna and Colleen Friesen of Faribault; his grandchildren, Teigen Kline (Adam) and Katie Haakonson (Chris); his great grandchildren, Harper and Palmer Haakonson; and his siblings, Sharon Krenik of Morristown, Lorraine Paschke (Ron) of Shakopee, Steve Friesen (Joyce) of Faribault, Denise Keeley (Dan) of Faribault and Paul Friesen (Wanda) of Faribault.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Owatonna Gun Club are preferred.
