She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Bruske and Ruby Bruske (Knapp); her siblings, Orville, Carroll, Loren, Lila, Elaine, Sue and Kitty; her son-in-law Darrel; and her grandchildren, Nicole and Jordan.

She is survived by: her children, Troy Koester (Bonnie), Sharrie Staats, James Koester (Barb), Dennis Burns (Sara) and Daniel Burns (Sarah). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
