“Charlie was our friend. We played a computer game as a team for over six years. His sense of humour and honour was a deep part of who he was. There are no words that can or will express how much we miss him. Charlie grá, you are loved. Larry Madsen wrote a sympathy message

“Chuck and I grew up across the street from each other on McKinley street in Owatonna. As young kids we were inseperable and enjoyed all the same things, i.e. fishing, sledding, snowball fights, shooting baskets, playing golf, riding bikes, playing football, swimming down at the gravel pit and playing board games when the weather was bad. Chuck's mom, Gert and father Ernie were always kind to me.... I will never forget the fond memories of having Chuck as my friend! Larry Madsen”
