She was predeceased by: her husband Louis; her siblings, George Simon, Walter Simon, Alfred Simon (Pat) and Alice Oldefendt; and her brother-in-law Evan Oldefendt.
She is survived by: her daughter Virginia M. Babczak of Concord; her grandchildren, Daniel M. Shirk and Debra M. Shirk of Cornelius; her sister-in-law Marian Simon (Kubicek); and also, Ana Ochoa and Brett Erwin of Cornelius. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Homestead Hospice Care.
