He was predeceased by: his children, Frances and Gerald; his granddaughter Carol; his great grandchildren, Jack Schroeder and Edger Rios Hruska; and his siblings, Frank, Adeline Wilke and Frances "Erma" Hansen.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his daughter Patricia "Pat" Schroeder (Al) of Savage, MN; his daughter-in-law Linda Hruska; his sister Dorothy Gasner of Owatonna; and also Waseca. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Heartland Hospice Care or MOCA (Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance).
