She was predeceased by: her parents, William Monson and Florence Monson (Haller); and her brother John Monson. She is survived by: her husband Harold Kerkvliet; her sons, Rahn (Sherry) of Soldotna, AK, David (Alice) of Soldotna, AK and Daniel (Cecilia) of Anchorage, AK; her grandchildren, Joshua Kerkvliet (Keri), Katelynn Hawkins (Mike), Bien Metcalfe, Peter Metcalfe, Dawn Mettler and MaryJo Mettler; and her great grandchild Adalynn Ann "Addy".
Her body has been donated to the Mayo Clinic Anatomical Bequest Program for research.
