He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Simdorn; his brother Doug Simdorn; his grandmother Agnes Breuer; and his uncle Dennis Breuer. He is survived by: his mother Carol Betty Simdorn (Breuer); his wife Jeanette "Netty"; his children, Nichole Hager (Jonathan), Brian Haan (Molly) and Dustin Haan (Jisun); the mother of his children Jeanette; his grandchildren, Sam, Eli, Ivy Hager, Emmett and Keira Haan; his sister Yvonne Mauch (Tom); his nephews, Justin Mauch (Rachel), Brandon Mauch, David Mauch and Noah Simdorn; his great-nephew Miles Mauch; and also Harold Ford.
