He is survived by: his wife Carol McGowan of Ottertail; his children, Janet, Sam, Kathy, Letty, Walter and Kim; and his sister Marleen. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
