He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Macal of John's Lutheran; his siblings, Verlin Menze, Arvin Menze (Nancy) and Sharon Witt Witt (Vernon Jr.); his parents-in-law, Harry and Cecelia Macal (Leofric); and his brothers-in-law, Marvin Totland, John Macal (Aggie), Marvin Macal (Pauline) and Duane Macal (Arleen).
He is survived by: his children, Rick Menze (Jodi), Janelle Hammer (Erik), Tangie Ranum (Robert) and Sara Balfour (Marc); his grandsons, Ethan Hammer (Heather) and Sean Hammer; his children, Gretchan Mpunga (Neo), Kelsey Lehmann (Tayler), Alec Ranum (Tatiana), Nathan Ranum and Gage Balfour; his great grandchild Zion Lehmann; his grandchildren, Chase, Courtney, Alina Hammer and Lucy Ranum; his brother Delvin Menze (Betty); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Menze, Adeline Totland and Kenneth Macal (Michelle).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church ~ Ottertail (31963 Co Hwy 61, Ottertail, MN 56571). A prayer was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
