He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ahlfs and Evelyn Ahlfs (Wagner); his sisters, Joanne Heinie and Lucille Ahlfs; and his granddaughter Peterson.
He is survived by: his children, Mike and Ottertail Aggregate; his wife Patricia Ahlfs (Pat); his children, Thomas Ahlfs (Jean) of Ottertail, Mary Rotzien (Wayne) of Becker and Michael Ahlfs (Amy) of Ottertail; his grandchildren, Jessie, Anna, Joe and Travis; and his brothers, Dennis Ahlfs of Detroit Lakes and Larry Ahlfs of Ottertail.
