It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alan Schmitt of Osseo, Minnesota, born in Milbank, South Dakota, who passed away on October 25, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Schmitt and Diane Carlson (Schmitt); and his stepfather Willard Carlson. He is survived by: his siblings, Terri Schmitt, Kitty Atkins (Joe), Mike Schmitt (Sonja Perpich), Barb Waldoch (John), Peggy Chalich (John), Dave Schmitt (Brenda) and Mary Kay Hughes; his stepsiblings, Jean Goldsberry (Rollin), Marleen Misek (Neil), Ron Carlson (Diana), Kelly Carlson and Myron Carlson; and his uncle Jack Weber (Mary). He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews; 14 grand-nieces and nephews; godchildren.

“We are sorry for your loss. My father, James Gillespie was a lifelong friend to the very end to him and has been trying to contact him all week calling hospitals looking for him. As I believe they last spoke on the 23rd. He was deeply saddened when he heard the news. Please let him know if any services will be held. 763-528-3352. I believe their mutual friend Barry also would like to be contacted as he was the one who contacted my father. Again, our heartfelt sympathies to the family.”
