He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Sibell and Edna Sibell (Swor); his wife Mary Seifert; his siblings, Wallace Sibell, Helen Marquette and Jane Granland; his children, Gene, Steven and Kathryn; and his grandson Joseph Schlosser.
He is survived by: his children, David (Kathy) of Glenwood, Allen (Sara) of Osakis, Russell of Frederick, CO, June Fleck (Tim) of Sturgis, SD and Carol Evert of Alexandria; and his daughters-in-law, Jan Sibell and Lynn Sibell. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
