He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen A. Rooney and Ruby H. Rooney (Ensign); and his siblings, Stephen 'Buzz', Thomas, Lawrence, William, Patrick Rooney, Genevieve Stocker, Jane Vonderhaar and Lorraine Rooney.
He is survived by: his brothers, Daniel Rooney (Pam) of Osakis and John Rooney (Debbie) of Columbia Heights; and his sisters-in-law, Lois Rooney of Cambridge, Barb Rooney of Cambridge and Sandy Rooney of St. Paul. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
