She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence A. Iverson and Rose O. Iverson (Johnson); her husband James K. Nomeland; and her sister Muriel Elaine Thompson (Iverson). She is survived by: her children, Debra Larson (Allen) of Alexandria, Steven Nomeland (Brenda) of Milbank, SD and Karen Hopps (Brian) of Minneapolis; her grandchildren, Tera Anderson (Ben), Nicholas Larson, Carrie Ludwig (Derek), Audrey Thornborrow (Dustin), Leif Nomeland (Faith) and Lili Ruby (DJ); and her brother Lawrence 'Lonnie' Iverson (Sharon). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to the Galeon Bus Fund in Osakis, Hospice of Douglas County, or the Osakis Lutheran Church Ella Nomeland Scholarship Fund.
