He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marthaler and Marcella Marthaler (Beste); his brother John Marthaler, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Marthaler, Larry Marek and Larry Leonardi.
He is survived by: his sisters, Lois Marek of Albuquerque, NM and Gladys Leonardi of Wheat Ridge, CO; and his sister-in-law Carol Marthaler of Alexandria, MN.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
