He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Freelyn Carl Sr. (Janetta) and Vivian Wenzel (Olson); his sons, Erik of Henning, Karl (Susan) of Garfield and Bill (Melissa) of Long Prairie; his grandson Parkers Prairie; his wife Janetta J. Stimson; his sister Vikki Atterbury; his nephew Tim Atterbury; his daughter-in-law Colleen Wenzel (Osakis); and his nephew Ty Atterbury (Moorhead). He was also cherished by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
