It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen Kay Bangtson of Osakis, Minnesota, born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 27, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Handke and Walter Handke; her husband Charles Bangtson; and her son Brian Bangtson. She is survived by: her children, David Bangtson, Karin Bangtson and Julie Backes (Paul); her brother William Handke (Judy); her grandchildren, Elliot Habas, Sarah Habas (Andy Hein), Mariah Backes, Justin Bangtson, Grant Backes (Paige Nelson) and Jacob Backes; and her great grandchild Paislee Backes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
As an animal-lover, she donated graciously to the Humane Society where she also adopted several cats who were her loving companions.
