He is survived by: his brother-in-law Dale Tyge; his close friend Joyce; his daughter Christy Byer (Kevin) of Osage; his grandchildren, Brady, Samantha, Connor, Logan and Kortne; his great grandchildren, Jack, Leah and Noah; his siblings, Lois Sather of Bottineau, ND, Phyllis Pritchard (Gary) of Osage, MN, Christy Schmitz (Rick) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Paul Tretbar of Ponsford and Donnie Tretbar of Osage, MN; and also, George Buck of Osage and Terry. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
