Wayne Schoon Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 26, 2024, at the age of 90, Wayne Schoon of Ortonville, Minnesota, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schoon and Lillian Schoon (Klinger); his parents-in-law, Cynthia and Irwin Gustafson; his great-nephew Daniel Schoon; and his siblings-in-law, Laura Marshall, Vern Marshall and Duane Gustafson.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Schoon (Gustafson) of Ortonville, MN; his children, Cindy Nelson (Jim) of Ortonville, MN and Dave Schoon (Merry) of Ortonville, MN; his grandchildren, Brandon Nelson (Heather), Joshua Nelson (Kylene), Amanda Exferd and Holly Koval (Franky); his stepgranddaughter Candace Wilson; his great grandchildren, Morgan Exferd, Olivia Nelson, Kevin Nelson, Alayna Nelson, Brianna Nelson, Addison Koval, Ayden Nelson, Aria Koval and Emma Koval; his stepgreat-grandson Daniel Pond; his siblings, Roy Schoon (Virginia), Herb Schoon (Barb) and Carol Ulrich (Bill); and his sister-in-law Sally Gustafson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family preferred donations in Wayne's name go to the Big Stone Area Food Shelf, the Ortonville Trap Shoot Team, Holden Lutheran Church Cemetery, or Zion Lutheran Church.
