He is survived by: his son Stephen; his friend Don Sykora; his children, Steve Sis (Amy) of Brooklyn Park, MN and Lisa Brehmer (Joel) of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Tyler Sis, Ashley Sis, Luke Brehmer and Kadee Brehmer; his stepchildren, Gregg Alley of Greenville, SC and Bethany Grommesh (Rob) of St. Louis Park, MN; his stepgrandchildren, Alley Grommesh, Claire Grommesh and Chelsea Navarro (Arn); his stepgreat-grandchild Addison Navarro; his siblings, Mary Anderson (Evert) of Phoenix, AZ, Gene Sis of Dawson, MN, Frank Sis (Debbie) of Anchorage, AK, Karen Johnson (Earl) of LaVista, NE, Jim Sis (Carolyn) of Bellevue, NE and Roger Sis (Linda) of Rosen, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Ritter of Coon Rapids, MN, Andy Anderson of Valley City, ND, Paula Griffen and Renee Whitlock of Valley City, ND. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Virgil's name be sent to Big Stone Area Healthcare Foundation or to St. John's Catholic Church.
