He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gilma Swenson (Orrin), Milton Kirkeby (Esther), Lloyd Kirkeby (Helen) and Douglas Kirkeby; and also, Archie Jacobson, Henry Jacobson (Leah), Maynard Jacobson (Merine), Lila Burres (Norman), Sander Jacobson, Joseph Jacobson, Johan Jacobson, William Jacobson (Mattie), Myrtle Doran (Earl), Adeline Eide (Norman), Alice Moe (Arnold) and Morris Jacobson (Donna).
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra (Larry Helgeson) of Ortonville, MN; his granddaughter Sally (David Sterk) of Fargo, ND; his brother Darrell; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Kirkeby of Bullhead City, AZ and Twyla Kirkeby of Glencoe, MN..
Additionally, he was an active member of the Moorhead Lions Club and a RSVP volunteer.
