He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Swigerd and Elsie Swigerd (Wedemeyer); his wife Marlys; his daughter Margo; his stepson Blaine; and his brother Jack Swigerd (Jane).
He is survived by: his former wife Karen Bakeberg; his sons, Mark Swigerd (Loretta) of Ortonville, MN and Matthew Swigerd (Kari) of Austin, MN; his stepdaughter Darcy Schloesser (Mike) of LeCenter, MN; and his brother Bruce Swigerd (Evelyn) of Ortonville, MN. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
