With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark Block of Ortonville, Minnesota, who passed away on June 16, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Block and Joan Block (Beachem); his parents-in-law, Gordon and Betty Nelson; and his brother-in-law Kim Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Terry Nelson of Ortonville, MN; his children, Mark Block II (Amy) of Correll, MN, Jennifer Block (Jason) of Ortonville, MN and Matthew Block (Layla) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Mason Block, Miley Block, Kori Block, Wyatt Sherod, Xavier Block, Madisyn Block and Matthew Block II (Noah); his stepgrandchildren, Max Weinke, Courtney Woehrle and Samantha Appleman; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Matilda, Lennon, David, Paisley, Evelyn and Gabriel; his sisters, Dawn Leger (Doug) of Ortonville, MN, Ronda Thielke (Russell) of Ortonville, MN and Ginger Athey (Ron) of Ortonville, MN; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Nelson (Jean) of Arizona and Charles Nelson of Washington. He is also survived by uncle, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
The family suggests memorials be given to Mound Cemetery, Ortonville, MN.
