He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Wittnebel and Edna Wittnebel (Soltenberg); his wife Rose Angerhofer; his brother Gerald Wittnebel; and his siblings-in-law, Rhoda Wittnebel, Lorraine Meyer, Arnold Buck, Clarence Meyer, Sr., James Angerhofer, Sr., Leonard Angerhofer and Dale Angerhofer.
He is survived by: his son Douglas Wittnebel (Betty) of Ortonville, MN; his grandchildren, Emily Wittnebel-Schlieman of Dawson, MN and Ryan Wittnebel (Laura) of Bellingham, MN; his great grandchildren, Evan Schlieman, Caroline Schlieman and Lyla Wittnebel; his sister Janice Buck; and his sister-in-law Edna Angerhofer. He is also survived by his son, grandson, granddaughter, and great-grandchildren.
