He was predeceased by: his parents, Lulu Carlson and Rudolph "Rudy" Simonitch; his brothers, Robert Simonitch and Donald Simonitch; and his sister-in-law Genevieve Simonitch Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Aletta L. Waller; his children, Sandra Janssen (Dennis), Terri Sellers and Jim Simonitch (Janet); his grandchildren, Melissa Janssen, Bryan Janssen (Marie), Alexander Sellers, Evan Sellers and Laura Johansen (Derek); his great grandchildren, Peter Janssen, Nathan Janssen and Noah Johansen; and his sister Diane Athey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
