It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Hennessy Jr. (Ortonville, Minnesota), born in Morris, Minnesota, who passed away on February 3, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James, Sr. Hennessy and Elizabeth Hennessy (Ritter); his siblings, Bob Needham (Helen) and Eleanor "Tooty" Zahnow (Milo); his brother-in-law Jim Reeves; his parents-in-law, Ora and Hazel Hills; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Hills (Sally), Robert Hills, John Hills, Kenneth Hills (Alma), Dorothy O'Leary (Robert) and Kathleen Sykora.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Hills; his children, Rick Hennessy (Jill) of Graceville, MN, Jim Hennessy (Evelyn) of Ramona, CA, Nancy Athey (Mike) of Ortonville, MN and Shelly Gacke (Bill) of Sartell, MN; his grandchildren, Josh Hennessy (Lisa), Justin Hennessy, Rhonda Hennessy, Jordon Hennessy (Brietta), Michiko Hennessy, Kimiko Hennessy, Dillon Schlimme (Jenna), Abby Schlimme, Brian Gacke (Lexi) and Leah Zak (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Andrew, Tessa, Gunner, Tucker, Isaac, Makaya, Logan, Bryson, James and Finn; his sister Cheryn Reeves of Lake Charles, LA; and his siblings-in-law, Audrey Opitz, Arlene Deutsch (Willie), Mary Ewert, Joyce Bogenrief, Linda Sibson, Patricia Stoick (John), Carol Palmer (Dean), Bonnie Hendricks (Jerry), Larry Hills and Dale Sykora. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
