He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Edward Rutter and Emma Marie Rutter (Alexy); his wife Marian E. Jagow; his sister Shirley Klein; his sons, David and Daniel; and his granddaughter Rebecca Faith Rutter.
He is survived by: his children, Mark (Judy) of Yankton, Janet O'Neill (Dennis), Steven (Sandra) of Milwaukee, Robert (Jennifer) of Zumbrota and Laurie Krueger (Jim) of Alexandria, Minnesota. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
