She was predeceased by: her parents, Ewald Fischer and Martha Fischer (Buerkle); her husband LaValle Berkner; and her siblings, Irma Roth, Milton Fischer and Rev. Arnold Fischer.
She is survived by: her children, Sarah Miller of St Paul, MN, Mary Hillman (Duane) of Odessa, MN, Lachlyne McCabe and Steven Berkner of Watertown, SD; her grandchildren, Heather Rohn (Steve) of Ault, CO, Kelly Homrighausen (Derek) of St Peter, MN, Joshua Miller of St Paul, MN, Amy Haas (Jason) of Odessa, MN, Bryan Hillman (Barbie) of Maple Valley, WA and Brandon Hillman of Odessa, MN; and her sister Alma Buttke of Milbank, SD.. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
