With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Hanson of Ortonville, Minnesota, born in Appleton, Minnesota, who passed away on November 22, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Hanson and Emma Hanson (Haugen); his wife Adeline Arndt; his son-in-law Gregory Tyler; and his granddaughter Teri Schnell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Oibrekken of Bloomington, MN, Colleen Tyler of Rogers, MN, Sally Johnson (Craig) of Punta Gorda, FL and Anita Longnecker (Dean) of Ortonville, MN; and his grandchildren, Joel Schnell, Sara Shank (Timothy), Paul Tyler (Thea), Eric Banken (Lois), Melissa Graves (Wesley), Bobbie Jo Bertram (Scott), Isaiah Longnecker (Stacy), Joshua Longnecker (Missy) and Rachel Longnecker. He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
