She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Oerter and Anna Oerter (Petersen); her husband Lloyd Smith; her siblings, Gladys Oerter, Ervin Oerter and Donald Oerter; her siblings-in-law, Doug Smith, Dale Smith and Maren Smith; and her nephew Michael Oerter.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Hofhenke of Ortonville, MN and Bruce Smith (Janet); her grandchildren, Brenda Veen, Brian Hofhenke (Deb), Amy Roggenbuck (Dustin), Christopher Smith (Rachel) and Lauren Smith (Joe Ponce); and her sisters-in-law, Delores Oerter and Carol Smith.
