He was predeceased by: his parents, Hannah E. Strey (Seehusen) and August Strey; his son Richard Strey; and his grandson Benjamin Strey. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Strey (Odell); his children, Donna Strey of Olivia, Steve Strey (Mary) of Bird Island, Margie Polingo (George) of Litchfield, Dale Strey (Becky) of Willmar, Chris Odell (Karen) of Michigan and Cindi Krause (Jeff Huseby) of Olivia; and his sister-in-law Shirley Strey of Buffalo Lake. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
